Giving at The Trust

A 2008 grant to the Rockaway Waterfront Alliance get local youth involved in learning about ecology and cleaning up the beach. The grant was made possible through the generosity of the Adel and Leffler families who left a field-of-interest fund to benefit the people of Queens.

We believe that the people who set up funds in community foundations are among the most generous and sophisticated philanthropists in the country. That's certainly true of donors to The Trust—many of whom also have private foundations. Their charitable interests are wide ranging, as are their reasons for giving.

If you want to leave a charitable legacy or get tax benefits now for a commitment to give later, consider that we have been carrying out our donors' intentions while tackling contemporary needs since 1924.

Whether you have a tradition of giving, support particular charities or causes, or want to give back to the city in which you prospered, The Trust might be the right place for you.
